United Electrical Contractors was founded in 1985 in Orlando and remains locally owned and operated by Sean McKee.

Based in Mount Dora, our firm continues to serve Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, Polk, Highlands, Pinellas, Sumter, Hernando, Monroe, St. Lucie and Marion counties.

We believe that direct owner involvement in all operations provides superior service to our customers. Therefore, all estimating, purchasing, and project management is performed by the owner and qualified long term estimators and project managers. This approach has created and helped maintain long lasting relationships with the major general contractors and construction managers that serve the central Florida area.

Because of this direct involvement in all of our projects, our commitment to complete customer satisfaction, excellence of workmanship, and jobsite safety is never compromised.


Sean McKee, President of United Electrical Contractors

Sean is a seasoned professional in the Electrical Contracting industry, bringing nearly two decades of expertise to his role as the President of Coastal Electric and holding a Master’s Electrical License in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee.

With a solid foundation established during his 16-year tenure at Bergelectric Corp, one of the nation’s largest firms, Sean led project teams to success on major national projects spanning from Coast to Coast.

Transitioning to a local Florida-based firm, he managed many large projects, ranging from Heavy Industrial to Multi-Family Residential.

Now at Coastal Electric, Sean oversees all aspects of operations, leveraging his extensive background to guide the company from Pre-Construction to Project Close-Out.
